2. New- Read Romans 12:1-8.
In the letter to the Romans, chapters 1-11 primarily contain the doctrines and the facts about salvation, sanctification and the power of God. Chapters 12-16 are practical in nature and show how a saved man should live.
• What is new in this passage?
• For comparison what does the Apostle Paul use?
• What are the gifts for?
• How should these gifts be used according to this text?
• How should a person think about himself according to these verses?
• How is the passage found in Romans 12: 2-8 linked with Romans 12:1-2? What principle does the passage try to convey to the readers? (The gifts are not given for the glorification of man. They are from God; therefore, they should serve for the Glory of God.)
• What have you learned about the gifts?
• What exactly should you apply in your life from this passage?
3. Read 1 Peter 4: 7-11.
• Who receives the gifts?
• How should the gifts be used?
• Why are the gifts given?
• What is the reason for the two categories in which the apostle Paul divides the spiritual gifts?

4. Application:
• What do 1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12: 1-7 and 1 Peter 4:7-11 have in common about the spiritual gifts?
• What additional information is in Romans 12:1-7 and 1 Peter 4:7-11?

5. To think about:
• Gifts were given to build up the Body of Christ in order for there to be unification.
